The ICF held a series of meetings in Caux, Switzerland during the Caux Conference on Trust and Integrity in the Global Economy (TIGE). The objective of the ICF’s sessions was to review the ICF’s activities and identify and discuss key issues facing the ICF as it develops its work and establishes Chapters around the world. The ICF’s Annual Assembly held on 17 July 2007 concluded the ICF’s sessions. The names of those attending the ICF’s sessions is attached.

The ICF had an ambitious programme set up for the four hundred in Caux gathered from all corners of the globe to discuss ‘Trust and Integrity in the World Economy’: plenary meetings, workshops and sessions would explore the values, control and power of the media, in particular their relationship and influence on conflict, democracy and economic justice. The schedule boasted an array of speakers and delegates with international credentials and charisma. The mood of good will and expectancy was clearly perceptible.

The International Communications Forum actively participated in the Caux Centre’s conference on “The Heart and Soul of Europe” from 16 to 20 July 2005. Its speakers at a plenary session were Alain Modoux, former Assistant Director General of UNESCO and currently Advisor to UNESCO for the World Summit on the Information Society, scheduled to be held in Tunis in November; Robert Webb, United States veteran journalist and former Head of the Washington Bureau of the Cincinnati Enquirer; Faustina Starrett, Head of the Journalism Department of North West College, Londonderry in Northern Ireland; and Bernard Margueritte, President of the IC Forum, who presided the meeting.
